Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Research

  • Contribute to seasonal print and colour palette research with guidance from the Senior Print Designer
  • Present research findings and inspiration clearly and confidently in team meetings
  • Develop relationships with print suppliers and contribute to evolving the seasonal print offering

Scheduling & Workflow

  • Manage own workflow in line with the seasonal critical path and communicate progress proactively.
  • Assist in the coordination of the Print/Artwork weekly schedule in collaboration with the Senior Print Designer.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of placement prints, repeats, and engineered designs, ensuring technical accuracy (scale, colour, repeat, etc.).
  • Liaise with the Fabric Developer and Senior Designer to align print design with fabric choices and cost considerations.
  • Assist with the development of artworks across a variety of fabric bases, including jacquards, brocades, and knits.
  • Order and manage colour chips, ensuring accurate colour matching to Pantone or digital palettes.
  • Review strike-offs and sample meterage for quality and printing accuracy, raising and resolving issues in coordination with the Product Development team.
  • Support troubleshooting of development print issues and suggest improvements for print quality.

Production

  • Participate in production fittings for printed garments to assess placement and print execution.
  • Make print amendments as needed to meet production requirements and quality standards
  • Submit colour corrections and oversee the alignment of prints across different fabric bases.
  • Support smooth transition of prints from sampling to bulk production, ensuring accuracy in colour, layout, and scale.

Documentation & Archive

  • Maintain up-to-date digital and physical print moodboards.
  • Keep accurate records of print development stages in shared logs for transparency across departments.
  • Help manage and archive seasonal print files and documentation for future reference.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Fashion or Textile Design or similar with strong interest in print design

  • 5 yrs + experience within fashion industry at a luxury/premium level specialising in Print

  • An understanding and connection with the Erdem brand and aesthetic

  • Strong research, concept, creative and drawing skills

  • Excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop and good understanding of InDesign and Illustrator Ideal candidate to also have knowledge of Screen Printing Initiative and drive

  • Team player Analytical and problem solving

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Organised, efficient and meticulous
