Coty Wins Swarovski Beauty License

Swarovski will join Coty’s wider portfolio of licensed fragrance brands, including Hugo Boss, Tiffany and Burberry, with its first new fragrance set to launch in 2026.

Coty is adding Swarovski to its portfolio of beauty licenses.

On Thursday, the New York-based conglomerate announced that it had signed a long-term agreement with Austrian crystal maker Swarovski, known for its glitzy statement jewellery, collectible figurines and homeware collaborations.

The first fragrances under the new license agreement are expected in 2026. French beauty firm Clarins previously produced perfumes under the Swarovski name.

Originally founded in 1895, Swarovski has recently embarked on a strategy that it calls “pop luxury” in an attempt to return to profitability by blending elements of its company heritage and legacy with more mass qualities such as a broad range of price points and wide distribution, as well as collaborations with stars like the actress and singer Ariana Grande.

Prestige fragrances have been a continued bright spot for Coty, even as the company lowered its financial outlook in October after citing reduced order volumes and softened demand for categories like skincare and cosmetics. It makes fragrances under the Marc Jacobs, Tiffany and Hugo Boss names, as well as a full range of perfumes, makeup and bath products under the Gucci brand.

In February, it signed an agreement to make fragrances for Italian fashion label Marni.
