After a successful event that produced Taiwo Adeleke from Ojota, Lagos as the first ever AFL90MinutesChallenge winner.

The organizers, Afrika Fashion League and her partners are set to host a bigger contest, only that we have a virtual experience coming your way this time. The organizers opted for the virtual option following the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic.

AFL, the organizers have actually described the virtual option as a blessing in disguise, because more tailors from across the African continent can easily participate.

The contest will feature tailors from Ghana, Ethiopia, Congo, Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria, and South Africa among others.

With a team of panelists from various industries which include fashion, brand management, entertainment; you can rest assured that awesome designs that will sell in any fashion store around the world. The contest will produce a major winner and 3 runners up based on judges and audience votes.

The year 2020 has brought so much change to the challenge and competition will take place quarterly, with the last quarter being the grand finale.

Every stage will reward the winners; however, the grand finale will offer the biggest prizes for contestants.

The contest is still very much open for sponsorship, although there are a number of technical supports on ground.

The contest will be held on a September date that will be announced in the middle of August 2020.

So, hold your breath! As the tailoring business in Africa is about to change forever.
